Food growing in the heart of Clapham
We are a community garden run by dedicated volunteers, aiming to get their hands dirty, get outside, grow vegetables and have a good time.
We pride ourselves on providing an area for the local community to discover the joys and benefits of growing and cooking their own food, with the added benefit of taking home freshly picked fruit and vegetables.
We growing everything from squash to salad and veg for Sunday roast. And all of this lovely local produce is available to our members and passers-by for a donation, which goes towards keeping our garden growing.
Are you interested in the community, gardening, sustainability, the environment, your health and wellbeing or knowledge sharing? If the answer is yes, then drop in and see us.
Our garden is open…
Saturdays • We are a fun group of people who meet to garden between 10am and 1pm with tea and cake at around 11.30. There is a table at our main gate with freshly harvested produce which is available to the public for a donation. During the summer months we often hold a laidback lunch, for a pay-what-you-can donation, or a bring and share picnic.
Keep Growing Mondays • A gardening session for the over 55s. A chance to get outdoors in the garden, relax and meet people.
Wednesday evenings • During the summer months we meet on a Wednesday evening from 6pm until around 7.30pm to garden and harvest veg.

Harvest Feastival Celebrating Car Free Day
Each year at the end of summer we hold our feast which is always great fun, and this year we're planning to make it better than ever!
We're working with Lambeth Council and Clapham Common Management Advisory Committee (CCMAC) to combine our annual feast event, part of Capital Growth's Urban Harvest, with Car Free Day on Saturday 22 September.
Windmill Drive will be closed and as well as food served in our garden the road will be alive with
fun-filled activities and entertainment, including a pedal powered PA system with singing and spoken word,
hula-hooping, storytelling and ping-pong.
There also be a cycle zone with cargo and adapted bike try outs, Dr Bike, a bike market to buy a bike or bring a disused one to sell, and pedal powered smoothies.
And that's not all... Beside the wildflower haven created this summer by CCMAC, there'll be bugs and beasties workshops and a petting zoo where you can make friends with some unusual animals.
Sound like fun, then come join us for the afternoon. Everyone welcome!
