Saturday morning, where better to be than the beds! It was great fun meeting everyone who came along to help or just to say hello. Even a tiny frog hopped in. No, that’s Nina and her dad Tarun (right) planting herbs! Freddie the frog was hiding under some leaves. Good to know he’s there helping to keep the garden pests down.
We topped up the beds with fresh compost, planted herbs and sowed winter salad crops. We also harvested shallots and marrows to store for our community feast in October. We’lll have the exact details of where and when soon, so keep an eye on our website or follow us @bandstandbeds.
And there was some compost leftover so if you need some for your garden or window boxes, help yourself!
