Access to our garden

For the past few months we have been busy fundraising for access pathways in the extended part of our garden, and we were shown such generosity by the community that we achieved our Spacehive crowdfunding target ahead of time.

A huge thanks to everyone who helped us reach our goal of £5,055!

On 2 October workmen arrived and began levelling the ground…

Day one above and…

A few days later!

By the end of the week the work was complete ready for the Taste of Asia on the Common event we’d planned with Green Shoots Foundation.

‘Over here for lunch!’

Despite the unsettled weather this was a fantastic fun-filled foodie afternoon. In fact, Shamineh’s curry was so delicious we ran out and had to quickly harvest more veg.

And if you missed this event, don’t worry, there’s more to come…

On Saturday 28 October we will be holding a Halloween Happening to celebration installation of the pathways and to say thank you to everyone who supported our Spacehive crowdunder.

There’ll be food cooked using our home-grown veg, pumpkin carving and other spooky goings on.

Watch out for the scarecrows!

Our Halloween Happening starts at midday until 3.30.

Everyone welcome!
