Annual General Meeting Thurs 20th Feb 6.30 – 8.30

Bandstand Beds is very lively, with funding bids and plans for 2014 coming along brilliantly following our planning meeting at Notredame Estate Hall earlier this month. Big thanks to the team that are contributing, and great to see some new faces too. We know many Clapham people and beyond enjoyed the Bandstand Beds in 2013.You are most welcome to get more involved this year. AGM on Thursday 20th February, 6.30 – 8.30, The Big Ideas Room, Clapham Manor School, Belmont Road SW4 0BZ.

As it’s the Annual General Meeting we’ll be electing new officers. If you’d like to stand please prepare a 5 minute presentation to give on the evening. We are particularly looking for a secretary who could maybe spare an hour a week on average to update the website, manage social media, mail the group and keep minutes as and when. It’s a lot of fun and if you’re looking to get involved in community gardening, it’s a great way to get experience and make a difference. I will be standing down as Chair as I’m off on my travels. We have local community activist David who will be standing for Chair, and Diana who has given great service and guidance in our first year as an association and who, thankfully, will stand as Treasurer.Don’t hesitate to be in touch if you’d like to talk over taking on an officer role, or have time to give – we can creat new roles in addition to the statutory Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
