Bandstand Beds AGM 2026

Bandstand Beds Association (BBA) was set by a small group of gardening enthusiasts who wanted to provide an opportunity for local residents to get outdoors, grow food, connect with nature, and one another.

It all began with a few raised beds beside the café at the Bandstand on Clapham Common, but since then has blossomed beyond our wildest dreams. Now, our volunteer-led organsiation manages three growing spaces on the Common: the original beds by the café, fruit beds near the toilet block, and a large community garden on Windmill Drive – a fantastic food growing, wildlife and social hub.

It’s been an amazing journey for BBA since it began in 2012, and in 2025 we received some incredible recognition for our work on Clapham Common. For the third year running we were awarded Outstanding’ by RHS London in Bloom It’s Your Neighbourhood, and in November we were honoured with the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. The agenda for our AGM will include the election of BBA trustees and plans for our community organisation going forward.
