Back in 2021 a group of BBA volunteers created a small orchard strip at the edge of the waste site beside our community garden – click Instagram link.

Since then, this orchard strip has been growing well but is now in need of some pruning and general orchard maintenance, and this is the perfect time of year to make a start on this.

To provide us with the expert advice and guidance we need to carry out this important task, we have invited Lewis McNeill from The Orchard Project along to lead a winter fruit tree pruning and maintenance workshop.

Lewis will spend the morning giving you a step-by-step guide on how and when to prune fruit trees, along with general maintenance tips to achieve the best harvest results.

This event on Wednesday 19 February at 10.30am is open to everyone.

Cost? Free for BBA members. Pay-what-you-can donation for non-BBA members.

Refreshments and lunch will also be available for a donation.

Booking is essential. To reserve a place for this workshop drop us an email.
