
Pruning Workshop
To improve overall growth and crop yield, fruit trees need regularly pruning and the time to do this for stone fruits in when there is not an R in the month – during the summer months.
You may have noticed as you walk past our community garden that some of our plum trees are in need of some pruning and to provide us with the expert advice and guidance needed to carry out the important task of, we have invited Lewis McNeill from The Orchard Project back to run a workshop in our community garden.
Lewis will give us step-by-step guide on how to prune fruit trees, along with general maintenance tips to ensure strong growth and achieve the best harvest results, and the best tools to use foe this task.
This event on Wedneday 12 August at 5.30pm is open to everyone (aged 18+).
Cost? Free for BBA members. Suggested £10 donation for non-BBA members.
A healthy meal will be available after the workshop (for a donation).
